Bike Maintenance Workshops & Mobile Mechanic Services:
On-Site or Off-Site Sessions Available
We can bring the tools and the knowledge to you – whether it’s your workplace, school, our Ashton Court Courtyard Café (ideal for larger groups), or here at Pedal Progression HQ.
Dr. Bike Sessions – Quick Fixes for Your Team
Our Dr. Bike service is a pop-up workshop where staff or students bring their own bikes for free basic maintenance and safety checks. Funded by the employer or school, this is a brilliant way to promote active travel and wellbeing – just like initiatives seen across Bristol.
️ ️ Learn Bike Maintenance & Repair
Want to empower your group with practical bike skills? We run hands-on workshops where participants learn key skills including:
-
Basic bike checks & maintenance
-
Puncture repair
-
Chain repair & replacement
-
Brake servicing
-
Gear tuning
-
Suspension servicing (only available at our workshop)
Ideal for schools, staff wellbeing days, or community initiatives. For general maintenance topics, we recommend a maximum of 8 people per session, and for more technical workshops (e.g., suspension or gear servicing), 6 people max ensures everyone gets hands-on time and guidance.
Team Challenges on Two Wheels:
Looking to bring your team together in a way that’s active, exciting, and a little outside the box? Our bike-based Team Challenges are perfect for staff away days, leadership development, or just some good-natured competition. Pit teams against each other—or the clock—in challenges that test communication, problem solving, fitness, and technical skills.
Timed Team Challenges
Work together to complete a series of riding and maintenance-based tasks as fast as possible. It’s all about strategy, teamwork, and a bit of sweat!
Problem-Solving Scenarios
Each checkpoint brings a new challenge—from fixing a flat to thinking your way through a trail-based puzzle.
Navigation, Orienteering & Treasure Hunt Style Games
Teams must navigate from point to point using maps or clues. At each location, they’ll find a task—success unlocks the next destination. It’s part cycling adventure, part escape room, and all fun.
Bike-Themed Tasks
Challenges can include things like puncture repair, chain fixes, or technical skills riding—all achievable and tailored to your group’s ability and experience level.
Fully Customisable
We design each challenge around your group’s goals and preferences. Whether you want something light-hearted and fun or more intense and competitive, we’ll make sure it hits the mark.
Fuel Your Ride with Food, Drink & Chill-Out Space:
No great ride is complete without great food! We work in partnership with Bristol Courtyard Café (BCC) to provide delicious catering options to keep your team energised throughout the day.
Breakfast, Lunch & Refreshments
From pastries and hot breakfasts to hearty lunches and snacks, we’ve got you covered. Choose from a range of hot and cold drinks, with customisable menus available to suit your group’s tastes and dietary needs.
