Our shop rides are currently postponed due to Coronavirus and restrictions around the number of people who can meet and excercise outside together.
The Summer Social Shop Rides are exactly as they sound. A relaxed ride around Bristol’s awesome local trails with plenty of chat, plenty of riding and plenty of smiles. They are a great opportunity to meet some of the team, meet other riders, learn about what’s going on in the Bristol MTB scene and how you can get involved. These rides will take place on the first Thursday of each month at 6pm (5pm in Oct) between April and October. There is no cost to come along – but you do need to sign up (links below). Expect to ride between 1.5 and 3 hours. If the weather is good bring a cold can.
The route will vary on the day depending on who turns up and the trail conditions. It will likely cover, blue, red and similar level natural trails possibly with the occasional more difficult trail. There will always be alternative and or walking routes suggested for those who don’t feel up to riding some of the sections.
Please note: Over 18’s only. We take no responsibility for riders joining us on these rides. All riders choose to ride at their own risk. Riders should wear a helmet and any protection they like to wear. You should be self sufficient in terms of water, food, tools, first aid equipment and spares and have considered how you might get home should your bike break. Please check our Facebook page on the day of the ride. We plan to go ahead in most conditions but if it is looking bad we may cancel because often people don’t show when it’s wet!
Let us know if you’re planning to come by signing up on the British Cycling Let’s Ride page – click the links below next to the ride date. This will also help us to notify you if for some reason the ride is cancelled.
